New House!

Hugo and I just got settled in our new apartment in downtown Austin, TX.

I was so worried about him adjusting, but he has done so well! I think he loves being the only dog!

There is a lovely park by our apartment, where we go for our morning runs. Its away from the road, so my sweet puppy can run off of his leash!

Moving Day!

Sorry I haven’t been able to post in a while!

We just moved to Austin and Hugo got neutered, so we have a lot on our plates. Hugo is loving Austin though! Everyone loves him and I can take him almost everywhere I go! Almost all the restaurants have an area outside so customers can eat with their dogs. The waiter at Carrabba’s even brought him a water dish with a lemon on it (: I wish I got a picture!

Hugo now weighs 15 pounds! I am going to try to make a video in the next few days, or at least get some new pictures!

Happy July Fourth!

This happy puppy was a very good boy today at the Fourth of July Parade!

He loves going out, and today was no exception! He was a little afraid of the sirens at first, but he calmed down and took a little nap. He played with some sweet little kids, who thought he was the cutest thing ever. On our way back to the car he ate something that someone had dropped and, unfortunately, some ants beat him to it ): He now has a mouth full of ant bites, but he seems to be doing fine!

We are heading to the fireworks later! Hopefully he won’t be afraid of the loud noises!

Big Puppy!

It has been a while!

Little Hugo is not so little anymore! He gained three whole pounds in the last three weeks! He now weighs eleven pounds, which officially makes him the biggest animal in our house (although the others don’t let him know it)! He is growing into a mellow little angel, and despite the fact that he is only three months old, is maturing at a very rapid rate. He is able to control himself by putting my wants over his wants, and I only have to call his name once to get him back if he wonders off on our walks.

He is also done with all of his shots (thank goodness)! He is all clear to play with all the dogs he wants, and when he grows up a little, he is ready to go to work with me!

I will try to post pictures of this big puppy soon! I am going to bring him to the Fourth of July parade tomorrow! I want to expose him to as many different scenarios as possible, so he will be less fearful when he grows into an adult dog!

Spending Some Time With the Pup!

Sorry I haven’t posted in forever!

I have been so busy with Hugo; he is getting so much better.

He spends most of the day playing with his favorite toys and running around the yard! He is going to miss it when we move to our apartment in Austin. He loves his morning walks and has met many new doggie friends! He is so friendly with children too.

I also gave him a hair cut; he was burning up in the Texas sunshine! I will try to get pictures soon (but he hardly stays still!)

Visit to the Vet!

Yesterday Hugo visited the vet for his second round of shots and a little exam.

Everything looks great and he is a super healthy pup!

He was great for his shots too.

Hugo has learned to walk on the leash so well in the short time that I have had him. We walked a mile this morning and he still came home wanting to play! (of course he is crashed out now!) He has also mastered sitting on command! Some pretty big accomplishments for a 9 week old puppy! He is super smart!

Puppy Pictures!

Hugo has settled in so well and we are starting to get into the groove of everyday life. Still no accidents inside (fingers crossed!), and he is behaving very well!

I took some photos today when we were playing outside. He loves it in the yard, so that means I’ll have to clip him before the heat of the Texas summer really sets in!

Happy Day with Hugo!

Hugo came home yesterday!

I am happy to say that he is doing great. He is eating well and sleeping in his crate very well! Emily has done such a great job housebreaking him; he hasn’t had any accidents in the house yet. He seems to be super happy and loving all the attention that he is getting from my family. He is keeping me super busy, and he loves to play with his toys. I took him for a walk this morning because he adjusted to walking on the leash so well! I am so thankful that I found such a good puppy!

Tomorrow is the Big Day!

Tomorrow is the day I get to bring little Hugo home!

I honestly can’t wait to start our life together. It will be hard work at first, but I am totally ready to take on anything that he can dish out!

I’m leaving tomorrow (and driving an hour and a half) to go pick him up. His crate and toys are all ready and waiting for him.

Please pray for us, that he has a smooth transition to his new home and that he stays safe while we are adjusting to our new lives!
